Still going strong – Techbridge at Oakland Technical High School is one of our oldest programs. This year the girls at Oakland Tech jumped right into design challenges that encouraged them to think outside the box – like how do you modify a cup filled of water, using limited supplies, so that no water is spilled when you drop it from the top of a ladder?

With a good mix of returning and new Techbridge girls, new friendships have been made and skills have been learned. Together teams of girls learned all about digital photography and how to modify their images using Photoshop editing software. So much is yet to come with a unit on environmental engineering as well as a unit on circuitry and soldering that students and alumni from UC Berkeley will introduce.

There is no doubt that this will prove to be yet another successful and exciting year for Techbridge at Oakland Technical High School, so make sure to stay tuned for pictures and updates!
