We are pleased to offer your child the opportunity to join Techbridge Girls, an after-school science, engineering, and technology program for girls.  Through hands-on learning and career exploration, we empower girls to be the next generation of innovators and leaders, while building confidence, perseverance and problem-solving skills.  Since 2000, Techbridge Girls has partnered with public schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, and Washington DC to serve more than 6,000 girls in grades 4-12 through our unique after-school program model.  Techbridge Girls programs are offered for free to girls, and meet weekly for about 1.5 - 2 hours at your child’s school.

The goals of the Techbridge Girls after-school program are as follows:

Empower girls to succeed by increasing confidence, teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking skills as well as persistence through hands-on activities and community building.

Increase girls’ science, technology, and engineering content knowledge and skills.

Increase girls’ awareness of science, technology, and engineering careers and their pursuit of studies and careers in these fields through career exploration, role model program visits, and field trips to science, engineering, and technology companies or organizations.

We are asking for your child and your family to commit to attend the program for the entire school year (middle and high school programs) or for 12 weeks (elementary school programs).  From experience, we have found this is needed for successful completion of projects and to build community spirit.  In previous years, parents and children have told us that Techbridge Girls has had a very positive impact in helping expand girls’ options for their future.  We welcome you to visit the program.  We are counting on your support to make Techbridge Girls a success and look forward to meeting you at family events at your child’s school.
