Kayla Bayens, IT & Operations Manager

Kayla Bayens is a Kentucky-grown advocate for girls in STEM, something that she was lucky enough to be given a chance at experiencing through after-school programming. Being exposed to it changed the trajectory of her options and her career. She is the IT & Operations Manager of Techbirdge Girls and uses her knowledge and experiences to bring the same chance to as many girls as possible.

Kayla is a technology expert who is able to leverage her vast operations and project management experience across multiple industries to bring to life the vision laid out by Techbridge Girls. She is committed to seeing every girl given a chance at a career in STEM, as she once was.

Prior to Techbridge Girls, Kayla worked at MerusCase where she spearheaded streamlining processes and operations, instituting massive savings and investment gains through automation. She also holds experience in the network security, game publishing, archival, and cloud systems industries.

Kayla holds a double Bachelor's of Science in Robotics & Embedded Systems and Artificial Life from the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, AZ.

Allison Darko, Executive Assistant to the CEO

Allison Darko serves as the Executive Assistant to CEO, Nikole Collins-Puri. She advocates for equal opportunities for women and girls of color and deeply resonates with the mission of Techbridge Girls. She uses her expertise in operations and office management to create a successful and efficient work environment.

Allison believes in giving back to the community that helped her become who she is today. She is a Bay Area native and participated in numerous youth development and college preparatory programs as a child. She has been in the nonprofit field for nearly ten years. Her passion in the industry began when she interned for March of Dimes as an undergrad at the University of San Francisco. Since then she's worked for organizations based in youth development, education, civic engagement, women's rights and gender and racial equality.

Allison Pettit, Accounting Manager

Allison Pettit is the Accounting Manager at Techbridge Girls. Her life-long love of numbers has culminated in a career that supports and encourages girls’ in their pursuit of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math and she has committed herself to the nonprofit community that promotes the joy of math and reading for children via both job and volunteer activities.

Prior to Techbridge Girls, Allison volunteered for Girls, Inc., worked at North Atlantic Books, a nonprofit publisher that promotes publication of books with import to the sciences that would not otherwise be published in the corporate world. She also worked for Title 9 Sports, a company founded on the mission to provide women with active wear when women used to have to purchase men’s clothing and adapt, and Reading Partners who provide support to children who have a need for reading assistance enrolled in Title 1 schools. Allison has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and specialized in the Legal Environment of Business. 

She is an avid animal enthusiast and finds the study of plant life fascinating.

Yune Truong, Bookkeeper

Yune Truong is passionate about inspiring and providing girls from underrepresented communities with the tools and knowledge to explore a career in STEM. As the bookkeeper of Techbridge Girls, Yune supports with daily HR and finance tasks, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Yune has spent every summer during college teaching mathematics to Lumbee Indian children in the countryside of North Carolina. In addition, she has also assisted the students with college planning and connecting them to resources to pursue a higher education. Yune holds a B.A. in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. In her spare time, she enjoys taking long walks, reading and cooking.
