Tracy Adams

Tracy Adams is an IT Security consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, DC. Her clients have included the United States Treasury, U.S. Courts and the Marine Corps, where she supports government information systems meet mandated security requirements while implementing risk analysis and vulnerability management needs.
She received her bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Howard University and is currently completing the final semester of her masters in Computer Science at The George Washington University.

Tracy is also committed to establishing education to career pipeline programs for the under-represented minority population in STEM through involvement and leadership in various non-profit organizations with that same vision.

Tracy’s most current role as the Deputy Director of the Public Policy SIG with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) has afforded her the opportunity to engage with national leaders on legislation that affects the NSBE membership. She has also organized and led several Pre-College Initiative programs with NSBE, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Booz Allen that introduce girls and minorities to STEM concepts.

One of her most notable programs has been the Girls Love STEM one-day conference that included exceptional corporate and community sponsorship and an abundance of positive feedback from the girls and parents that attended. She has supported in the development of the Algebra by 7th Grade (Ab7G) program through NSBE that helps third through sixth grade students prepare for algebra by seventh grade. Proving to be an indicator of STEM subject interest and commitment in high school and college. Tracy also goes into the elementary school classroom and teaches math concepts through a program called Sunshine math and has her own non-profit that partners with STEM based organizations to raise awareness with kids and parents about cyber security through activities and advocacy.
