Role Models Light Up Techbridge Girls’ Dreams

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Pacific Northwest Techbridge Girls came together to envision and build their dreams on electric dream boards. Our girls transformed their visions into tangible posters to share with family and friends -- and took the opportunity to practice some engineering skills by building light-up selfie circuits with our staff and volunteers.

With help and inspiration from Role Models from Adobe, Tableau, Microsoft, and Pacific Lutheran University, our girls built dream boards complete with light-up selfie circuits. While enjoying pizza and baked goods from Sizzle Pie and Essential Baking Company, the girls had a chance to hear from Melannie Cunningham and Karín Avellaneda about their personal paths to achieve their dreams. Techbridge Girls celebrates the accomplishments and community service of our Role Models during Women’s History Month!

Role Models provide our girls a means to connect to STEM leaders and sustain their excitement and engagement with Techbridge Girls. Thank you to all of our Role Models for supporting the trajectory of our girls!
