Lyn Gomes, KW Engineering

Lyn L. Gomes, P.E., CCP, LEED AP, CLCATT, is the Commissioning Team Lead for kW Engineering. Her 15+ years of combined experience in design, construction, and startup make her a triple talent in the world of commissioning. She merged her experience as an HVAC engineer with her commissioning knowledge and passion for lighting control systems to make building control systems not only work, but also work better together.

She is a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) and certified by the State of California to perform lighting acceptance testing as required by Title 24 (CLCATT). Lyn is the chair of the 2018 national conference of the Building Commissioning Association; and, she is a board member of the California chapter of the Building Commissioning Association.

She has been part of Techbridge for the past 15 years and was a founding board member. Lyn received her Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) San Luis Obispo.

Angela Ha, Summit Partners

Angela Ha is currently a growth equity associate at Summit Partners where she evaluates technology investment opportunities. Prior to her current position, she worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan.

Angela received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has been involved with Techbridge Girls since 2017. She is also actively involved in Minds Matter, an organization focused on helping low-income, high achieving high school students; and, she is also involved with Synergist, a network that works to empower women looking to build careers in investing.

Josetta Jones, Chevron

Josetta Jones is Managing IP Counsel, Downstream, Chemicals & Midstream for Chevron.  She is responsible for managing a team of trademark attorneys who support Chevron’s trademark and copyrights matters as well as managing a team of patent attorneys and patent agents who provide IP legal services to Chevron’s Downstream and Midstream businesses and technologies.  In addition to her managerial responsibilities, she supports Chevron Oronite Company’s IP needs which include conducting patent risk assessments, preparing and negotiating agreements, and client counseling. Prior to joining Chevron she was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office; and she worked as an environmental engineer for a petrochemical company in Channelview, Texas.  

Josetta has a Bachelor of Science. in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University; a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law; and a Master of Laws from George Washington University.

Josetta actively supports diversity & inclusion, STEM, and initiatives that promote “girl power.” She has been part of Techbridge Girls since 2003.

Lauren Marinaro, Verizon

As Sr. Solutions Strategist for Verizon’s San Francisco Innovation Center, Lauren Marinaro presents on Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities, Digital Experience, and Connected Healthcare to Fortune 500 executives looking to understand and implement digital transformation in their businesses.

Lauren’s past experience includes Director of Smart Cities for Readwrite, where she rebuilt and implemented several new programs and strategic partnership initiatives that engage enterprise, startups, and government to build smarter more sustainable cities. Lauren has a history of taking on complex projects from completing Vitamin D and cancer research in three major institutions globally, to rebuilding the clinical research landscape for Boston Scientific in New York City, to finally launching revolutionary subcutaneous implantable defibrillator (S-ICD) technology across the entire Northeastern United States.

Lauren received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with Honors in Research) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2011.

Lauren has a passion for science and technology, but more importantly, believes a strong STEM education is necessary for career opportunities and economic mobility in a digital-first world.

Sofy Navarro, San Francisco 49ers

Sofy Navarro, 49ers EDU Manager and Bay Area native, is in her sixth season with the San Francisco 49ers and has worked on their educational initiatives since 49ers EDU’s inception in 2014. Navarro helps manage and support STEAM initiatives, partnerships, and events across the 49ers organization. Navarro has worked with organizations such as Super Bowl 50, Khan Academy, and Beyond Innovation to bring STEAM alive through football. Education has always been a pillar of her family’s values and she is committed to empowering underrepresented youth and cultivating equal representation for women in the workplace.  Navarro has been affiliated with Techbridge Girls since 2016 and is a first time Regional Advisory Council member this year. Navarro is also a board member of the 49ers Women Connect group that provides a platform for individuals to exchange best practices and foster an environment in which women of 49ers organization feel connected and supported.

Navarro has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public, Private & Organizational Communications from California State University of East Bay.

Juliana Velez, EnerNOC

Juliana Velez, PE, is an Energy Engineer at EnerNOC.  She works on energy efficiency strategies for commercial and institutional buildings as well as helping develop energy intelligent software to assist customers in reducing energy, maintaining comfort and reducing maintenance costs.

Juliana is an alum of Techbridge Girls and has been involved with Techbridge Girls post graduation.  This year she is a first time Regional Advisory Council member.

Juliana has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Jim Wagoner, Wagoner Management Consulting, LLC

Jim Wagoner is currently a Management Consultant focused on developing and optimizing operations management and business processes.  Prior to this role, he was Vice President and Director of Engineering at Intel Corporation. At Intel, he had more than 30 years in engineering, management, leadership, and executive roles both domestically and internationally.

Jim is part of a select group of business veterans serving on the Expert Manager Panel for  He is also a Mentor for new business startups at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) incubator in San Luis Obispo.

Jim is a recurring guest lecturer at the School of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cal Poly.He has been associated with Techbridge Girls for more than 2 years.

Jay Yonamine, Google

Jay currently leads Data Science, Ops, and Quality teams for the Global Patents Organization at Google.  In that role, he oversees machine learning, data infrastructure, business intelligence, and software that the Global Patents team utilizes.  Previously, Jay has held data science positions in insurance and social media analytics companies and has consulted for various government agencies and startups. Jay holds a PhD in Political Science from Penn State University and a bachelors in Political Science from Middlebury College.
