ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:

Techbridge Girls (TBG) is an award-winning national nonprofit organization bringing science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education to all girls* across the US. Over the past 20 years, TBG has worked to excite, educate, and equip girls from marginalized communities to leverage their STEM education as a path towards economic mobility. TBG takes a holistic approach towards engaging girls emotionally and intellectually, by equipping educators with gender and culturally responsive practices, engaging families to support their youths’ persistence, and connecting role models to inspire and encourage, ensuring that girls leave the TBG program equipped to bring their brilliance and unique experiences to thrive in the STEM revolution. This approach continues to set TBG apart as a STEM equity leader. With an annual organizational budget of approximately $4 million and roughly 21 employees, Techbridge Girls is poised for bold growth to increase its impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Program Management & Evaluation

  • Manage the execution of Techbridge Girls programs within partner sites (e.g., @Home, Inspire, ChangeMakers).
  • Provide site partners with information, orientation, technical assistance and resources needed to deliver and sustain Techbridge Girls programming.
  • Oversee and support partner sites with participant outreach, recruitment and retention.
  • Observe and evaluate partner sites for fidelity of program delivery and impact (e.g. Dimensions of Success observation tool).
  • Collect data and provide high-quality reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Incorporate assessment of programming to improve delivery, model, training needs and/curriculum refinements.
  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of program delivery, effectiveness, and impact.
  • Explore and provide recommendations for innovative technologies to streamline training, evaluation and other program functions.
  • Manage consultants and/or staff members.
  • Manage Educator Advisory Council

Professional Development, Coaching & Expertise

  • Deliver and design high-quality training modules, and complimentary coaching to partner sites seeking to advance their practice around equitable STEM education that is gender-responsive and culturally relevant.
  • Represent Techbridge Girls in various forums (e.g. conferences, webinars, articles, etc.) around our educator model. 

Content Creation

  • Develop guides/resources/lessons for OST educators to support families, volunteers and girls’ engagement with TBG programming.
  • Develop and support advanced training modules around gender and culturally relevant  practices and equitable STEM education.

Relationship Management

  • In partnership with the Growth & Partnerships team, provide excellent customer service to partner sites.
  • Retain and support the growth of partner sites within your designated region.
  • Connect partners to additional resources, including TBG’s one-day STEM conferences, local events, and other learning resources for educators and girls.
  • Provide technical assistance to partner sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The PM, Training & Quality will be committed to Techbridge Girls' strategy, mission, and vision. All candidates should bring at least three years of experience with adult training. They should also have a strong understanding of social and emotional learning, equity and social justice frameworks to support the development of educators implementing our out-of-school time programming. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Practical understanding of adult learning theory and demonstrated experience both developing and implementing training for adults, preferably educators.
  • Outstanding and polished communication skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence at all organizational levels, especially in-school teachers, administrators, and OST providers.
  • Experience working with young people and educators in schools, or as an external partner with school staff, Title 1 schools preferred.
  • Proficiency in multiple strategies to engage adult learners through presentation, facilitation, and coaching, as well as the use of online and offline training concepts and tools.
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
  • Analytical mentality with experience and ideas on how to measure success of training programs.
  • A deep understanding of the "Twin Truths" around the brilliance of our youth and the racialized trauma and gendered inequities they face.
  • A strong practice of self-reflection and examination of own biases and privilege. A commitment to interrupting inequity on a personal and professional level.
