Cynthia is an advocate, leader, strategist, and motivator who has a passion for helping youth, women, and minorities reach their fullest potential. She serves as the Program Coordinator for Techbridge Girls’ Washington, DC region. With almost 10 years experience in youth and program development, Cynthia is dedicated to Techbridge Girls’ vision to pursue equity and equip its’ girls with everything that they need to succeed. Cynthia has extensive training in topics such as out-of-school time, STEM curricula, positive youth development, at-risk youth, socioemotional development, cultural competency, family engagement, and grant writing.
Prior to her joining Techbridge Girls, Cynthia was a Program Coordinator at a local DC nonprofit, City Gate. While at City Gate, she developed the STEM curriculum and oversaw the operations of several program sites. Prior to this position, Cynthia worked as an intern for the Cultural Academy for Peace in Kerala, India, where she provided mentorship to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Cynthia has also done a lot of volunteer work as it pertains to youth programming and shares a deep interest in supporting immigrant families.
Cynthia holds a B.S, in Psychology from Bowie State University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. During her down time she enjoys doing ministry work and reading up on entrepreneurial strategies.
